The Water We Share: Community Water Filter Setup + Surf Competition

📍 La Perla, El Salvador
đź“… Thursday, February 5th - Friday, February 6th, 2026

For the first time ever, we’re calling in the Seek Discomfort community in El Salvador.

The Water We Share is a two-day community gathering centered around movement, service, and access to one of our most essential resources: clean water.

In partnership with W.A.T.A. (Water Access To All), we’re coming together in La Perla, a coastal town where surfing is a source of pride and community, and access to clean drinking water can change lives.

This event blends surf culture, youth empowerment, and hands-on impact, and we’re inviting you to be part of it.

Day 1: February 5
Surf Competition & Community Gathering

We’ll kick things off with a local youth surf competition, celebrating young surfers in La Perla and supporting them as leaders within their community.

Seek Discomfort community members are invited to:

  • Help support and run the surf competition
  • Be part of the energy on the beach
  • Cheer on local youth and connect with the community

During the day, W.A.T.A. will also begin distributing household water filters to participating families.

Day 2: February 6
Community Water Filter Installation

On day two, we shift fully into service.

Alongside the W.A.T.A. team, we’ll help install household water filters for families in La Perla- providing access to clean, safe drinking water and hands-on education on how to use and maintain the systems.

Seek community members will assist with:

  • Water filter installations
  • Community support and logistics
  • Connecting with local families

No prior experience is needed- just a willingness to show up and help.

Free Seek Discomfort merch giveaways for everyone who joins us on either of these days.

Who This Is For:

  • Members of the Seek Discomfort community in El Salvador
  • Anyone who believes in movement, service, and showing up for others
  • Those who want to be part of real, on-the-ground impact
  • You can join us for one or both of the days.

Why This Matters:

Clean water changes everything. Community changes everything.

This event isn't just a surf competition or volunteering, it’s about coming together around something we all share, and taking action where it matters most.

If you’ve ever wanted to seek discomfort beyond yourself, this is your invitation.
